What is packet pick-up?
This is where you will check in to the event and pick up your race number and race bag.
Who needs to go to packet pick-up?
All athletes who will be participating in triathlon, aquabike, or duathlon will need to pick up their packet for the event. You must pick up your packet if you are to participate in the event. All registered athletes MUST show photo ID when picking up packet. NO exceptions will be made.
NOTE: You must be a current (non-expired) USA Triathlon or Triathlon Ontario annual member or 1 day member to race. No exceptions.
What do I need to bring to packet pick-up?
You will need to bring the following to registration:
- Government issued photo ID (i.e. State license, passport, green cards)
- Current USA Triathlon or Triathlon Ontario membership card. You must be able to prove your membership status with USA Triathlon or Triathlon Ontario. If you do not have your card with you, you will have to purchase a one day or annual membership at the event. No exceptions!

There are TWO ways to retrieve swim portion items.
- Leave items in the provided clear drawstring bag (given at packet pickup) at your pre-assigned bike position (your race number) in T1. Those items will then be brought to a pick up point at T2 (in Canada) for you to retrieve. The ONLY way for you to retrieve these items is to show your AFFIXED body tattoo number that will match the number you affixed to the clear drawstring bag that you left at T1 containing your belongings after your swim.
- Written permission to allow family members to pick up directly from (T1) Gallagher Beach transition. To expedite packet pick up, please fill out and bring form to packet pickup. Will there be shuttles back to T1 to retrieve vehicles?
There will be shuttles to take athletes back to T1. Transportation of bikes will be limited and could take longer than desirable. When possible, please try to arrange other means for transportation for your bike as racking for bikes will be limited and not standard in it's methods.
**This information is not to discourage use of shuttles, but more for full information that border crossing with multiple people and bikes might not be as fast as traveling in personal cars. We encourage you to use which ever method will be satisfactory to you. As you may assume, we cannot control how the border patrol handles vehicles.
How do I prove I'm an athlete participating?
Body Marking - Athletes
will be directed to affix body tattoos to their their arms and legs at packet pickup. You will receive matching bike and helmet numbers as well. You will not be able to retrieve any belongings that are unmarked, or do not match your affixed body tattoo number. Make sure you look for these when you pick up
your timing chip at packet pick up.
Bike Check In
Athletes will check their bikes in event morning.
Where is bike support located?
Bike support will be available by Bert's Bikes and Sports transition to help athletes with mechanical issues. Athletes that have major mechanical issues on Friday will need to go directly to the Bert's Bikes and Sports store for assistance. Bert's Bikes and Sports can be found at 4050 Southwestern Blvd. Orchard Park, NY 14127. 716-646-0028.
What if I can't make packet-pick up on Friday?
Eclipse Multi-Sport understands issues happen, unfortunately due to the International nature of this event, you MUST attend packet pickup (Bert's Bikes on Niagara Falls Blvd) to be cleared by a Canadian Customs agent.
What if a volunteer can't answer my question?
Please go to the registration table and they will find someone to answer the questions you have. The registration table will be located inside with the packet pick-ups.
What time should I get to race?
Generally speaking, you should arrive at least 1 1/2 hrs prior to start time. Getting there early allows you to comfortably rack your bike, get your timing chip, get your body marked and stretch out.
