Age group Olympic, Sprint, Duathlon, and Aquabike races. Come out and race on the same course that the past Elites and Olympians raced on.
This is the
culmination of the Triathlon season in Western New York! For the past 2 years Buffalo has been the host of the USAT Elite
National Championships where the prize purse was the richest in the series at
$40,000, making the Nickel City Triathlon a must do for Elites.
EVENT DETAILS
EVERYONE can come and race on the same course that some of the top North American and European multi-sport athletes did. Both Olympic & Sprint distances will be competed on a completely closed course.
- Sprint Distance - 750 meter swim , 20K bike, 5K run
- Olympic Distance - 1500 meter swim, 40K bike, 10K run
- Olympic Aquabike - 1500 m swim and 40K bike
- Sprint and Olympic Relay Teams - same distances as above
- Sprint Distance DUATHLON -2 mile run, 20 km bike, 5km run
**The age group olympic
and sprint race is open to anyone wanting to participate. Whether you are
a first time triathlete or a veteran to the sport! There is no qualification process to race in this event.
